Food Matters at York Nurseries

Smiling for Life Award and the new Recipe for Health award

Food does matter here at York Nurseries and we work with the Smiling for Life Team to ensure that the meals and snacks we serve are good for teeth and that we ensure children are aware of good oral hygiene. We are visited every year by the smiling for life team who spend time with the children and the biggest toothbrush, false teeth and cuddly dog you have ever seen!

Burnley Council awarded us the Catering for Health gold award for our general practices and menu planning. We have just been awarded the new Recipe for Health award!

We have an on site cook who prepares fresh meals daily. We can cater for all dietary requirements, including allergies

We try to ensure that all meals are nutritionally balanced and we aim to provide your child with as many of their 5 a day fruit & vegetables as possible
